Featured Story: From A&S to NGO

Bogotá, Colombia

In 2004, Matthew Alexander ('01) formed a non-governmental organization called Ahmsa in Colombia. His goal is to help communities become self-sustaining through skills training, microcredit, and other support to alleviate poverty. Ahmsa has served over 2,180 people in the past four years including former child soldiers, single mothers, ethnic minorities and more.
