Intellectual property protection, the safeguarding of the rights to your ideas, inventions, and creative works, is becoming increasingly important in the academic environment. Fulfilling our responsibility to make the results of publicly funded research at UW available for the benefit of the community, frequently involves both publishing research results and securing intellectual property protection.
